Safe Haven; Dreamland

Something about Hermione’s presence made Draco’s mind a bit more calm and mellow though behind him were Blaise and Goyle who were already guarding their wands in front of them as they look on to the vulnerable girl ahead. 

“When are you going to understand that all of this is unnecessary. You know what’s right Draco…all of you. When are you ever going to listen?” Hermione voiced with a rising temper.

Draco spat, “We’ve already been given an option! There’s no going back.” Draco finished his last word with a tremble in his tone as Hermione gave him, and him only a look of mercy but foremost sympathy. 

He continued, “What are you doing here anyway? What do you care what happens to me? I’m nothing to you…”

Hermione gave Draco a look of disbelief, “Nothing? I care about you Draco, and that’s all that matters. I’ve seen you at your best and I admire it so much more than you know. Be that person now…you can trust me. I promise.”

Draco clenched his teeth behind his chapped lips and muttered towards his partner in crime, who was beginning to cave in more, “Step away from me Goyle…you too Blaise.” Both Slytherins hesitantly followed his orders and stepped back while Draco walked towards Hermione with caution as his wand still guarded him. He stood shakily next to her and pointed his wand at his friends, “I’m with her now…where do you lie?”
